Scope and Contents This collection is comprised of sound cassette recordings (1998-1999) by Tom Chase documenting the history of the Berea College men's basketball program.Chase examines the relationship between sports and academic life throughout the interviews, pointing to Berea's emphasis on academic excellence. Scope and Contents The collection consists of audio compact disc recordings and transcripts of sixteen interviews recorded by Tom Chase in 2008. Interviews are mostly with women who played varsity (intercollegiate) basketball at Berea College during the program's first three decades (early 1960s to 2008). Scope and Contents This collection consists of twenty three 7 inch audio tape reels. Fourteen mostly contain commercials for Berea businesses and local news heard on Berea radio station WKXO in the 1970s. WKXO announcers are Kyle Sowers and Hugh Murphy. Also included among these are a few syndicated programs such as Lum and Abner, Forward in Faith, and Country Music Magazine.
