Kyle Sowers Radio Program Collection

This collection consists of twenty three 7 inch audio tape reels. Fourteen mostly contain commercials for Berea businesses and local news heard on Berea radio station WKXO in the 1970s. WKXO announcers are Kyle Sowers and Hugh Murphy. Also included among these are a few syndicated programs such as Lum and Abner, Forward in Faith, and Country Music Magazine. The remaining nine reels contain Kyle Sowers' play-by-play calling of 1975 high school boys basket ball regional playoff games on Richmond's WEKY. Schools included are Berea Community, Madison High School, Madison Central, Paris Mercer County, Henry Clay, Bryan Station and Louisville Male.
