Content Description
Twenty audio cassette copies of network radio news programs 1940-1945 covering the progress of World War Two. Included among the subjects covered are the invasion of France; Pearl Harbor attack, U.S. declaration of war, Battle of Midway, D-Day, Atomic bomb dropping, Japanese surrender, VE Day, concentration camps, death of President Roosevelt, and election of Harry Truman.

Biographical / Historical
Martin Plascak (1929-2021) was a broadcaster and sports broadcast historian who was professionally active for many years in the Terree Haute, Indiana area. He donated these recordings to Berea College in 2004.
