This collection contains lists of Bereans who served during WWI and WWII including information on rank, place of service, branch, assignments, and other service information.  The collection also contains a number of letters written by Bereans during WWII and a limited number of photographs of those who served.

A small collection of materials providing information regarding Japanese-American students who attended Berea College as a result of internment or relocation during World War II.

Abstract Born in McCreary County, KY, Norman Ball graduated from the Berea College Academy in 1933 and from Berea College in 1939.  He enlisted in September 1942 and eventually served in North Africa, Italy, and France.  At the time of his enlistment, he was the fifth member of his family to join the service.  Ball received an honorable discharge in October 1945. Abstract The World War I and World War II Poster Collection consists of over 245 original and duplicate World War I and World War II posters, many of which have been digitized (see Detailed Description).
