Established in 1989, the Special Learning Opportunities Committee was established to deal with learning opportunities outside established programs and courses regularly offered during Fall and Spring academic terms. Isabelle Sprague-Smith was a painter, art activist, and art educator including art instructor and principal at the Veltin School for Girls in New York City from 1900-25.
