The image bears this inscription: "Colonel Daniel Boone As Chester Harding saw him in 1819 when he painted the first and only personal picture ever painted of him. Now owned by Mrs Wm Harding King. Others are copies. Observe the tiny cracks in the oli cloth from age. R. N. Mayfield 1-27-1934." Item formerly associated with Log 9216.
