Scope and Contents From the Series: This series consists of recorded interviews and selected speeches. Interviews were recorded by Berea professor Emily Ann Smith (English Department, 1944 – 1971) and other researchers. Berea College president Willis D. Weatherford, Jr. initiated the Smith interviews in order to amplify the record of Hutchins's administration.
