The Collection on Letterpress Printing comprises a variety of 15th through 20th century hand printed items that were found on the shelves of Hutchins Library's Special Collections and Archives department. The collection was created in 2025 to enable discoverability of the individual resources.

Abstract

This study collection is a gathering of printed book leaves, page fragments and broadsides from the handpress era (1451-1820) and from later handpress revivals. These resources may be of interest to persons studying book history, the history of printing, typography, languages, literature and design.
