Bob Rodriguez maps and rare book leaves
Scope and Contents
The Bob Rodriguez maps and rare book leaves supplement Hutchins Library's holdings of early printed and cartographic works. The maps in this collection (Series 1-2) evidence changes in geographical knowledge, political boundaries, and map printing technology from the sixteenth century to the early twentieth century. The rare book leaves in this collection (series 3) date from the early days of printing in Europe. Both incunabulum leaves are from editions of Hartmann Schedel's Nuremberg Chronicle: the authorized printing of 1493 and an unauthorized reprinting of 1497.
