Pillsbury letter to Henry Penniman denying contributions to Berea College due to Frost's focus on mountaineers and because during the Day Law legislation his "heart was with the mountaineers and not with the negroes;" letter (on Lincoln Institute letterhead) of James Bond to Prof. M.E. Marsh regarding trustee action of whether or not to grant A.B. Dean a degree; letter (on Lincoln Institute letterhead) of James Bond to Dr. Thompson regarding fundraising obligations (black subscriptions, notes and donations), feelings of colored people/blacks that Berea has been taken away from them ("white people are making us help them build another (school) when they ought to give to us outright"), toils of fundraising, other.
