Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

Collection is comprised of images (bulk: c.1890-1930) by several area photographs including E. W. Todd and Edna Lynn Simms. Photographs are primarily of families in the Appalachian Mountains surrounding Berea College. Many of these images were used for public relations purposes during the Frost administration and include images of the Berea College campus, staff, faculty, and students. Images may have titles, place names, and notes written on them by the photographers and others.

Photographer: Todd, Ernest W.; Original Size: 4.75 x 3.75 in.; Large log structure with a central breezeway (dog trot). A Euro-American man stands outside looking back towards a woman and child in a doorway. Berea College Forest
