Scope and Contents

Collection is comprised of images (bulk: c.1890-1930) by several area photographs including E. W. Todd and Edna Lynn Simms. Photographs are primarily of families in the Appalachian Mountains surrounding Berea College. Many of these images were used for public relations purposes during the Frost administration and include images of the Berea College campus, staff, faculty, and students. Images may have titles, place names, and notes written on them by the photographers and others.

Other Descriptive Information

Photographs in this collection were originally given to the Berea College Appalachian Museum and were transferred to the Berea College Special Collections and Archives, between 1990 and 1993, upon the closing of the Museum.
