Scope and Contents
The Office of Vice President for Alumni and College Relations is responsible for providing administrative oversight for securing endowment and annual fund support for the college, creating and disseminating information about the college and leading efforts to expand the circle of alumni and friends who are concerned with the welfare of the college. The Office is currently made up of the following divisions: Advancement Services, Alumni Relations, Annual Giving, Development Operations and Prospect Research, Donor Relations and Communications, Major and Planned Gifts, and Marketing and Communications.

Society with the object of being "to study the conditions which in a degree separate our southern states from other portions of the nation, and especially to secure support for Berea College Kentucky, in its providential opening and unique work - Effacing sectional lines, Opposing the spirit of caste, and fitting the vigorous but isolated people of the southern Appalachians for the duties of American citizens." Small pamphlet; dues one dollar a year; speaks to need for permanent endowment.
