Abstract
Emily Ann Smith served as a Berea College Faculty member from 1930 until 1986 which included her tenure as secretary to the President, English professor, and Chairman of the English Department.
Smith, a native of Mayfield, KY, graduated from Randolph-Macon Women’s College in 1925 and Columbia Teachers College in 1930.
