Abstract
Aisha Ivey’s research involves documenting the migration of American old time fiddling from the Appalachian region throughout the southeastern United States. Ivey’s research also focuses on documenting stylistic variables, bowing patterns, repertoire, influences, and learning styles in an effort to understand the dynamics of the tradition's migration.

Scope and Contents
Twenty-six 8 x 10 photographs with jpeg files on a CD. The photos were made by Marty Godbey at the 1979 Berea College Celebration of Traditional Music. Persons in the photos are The Morgans string band consisting of Frank Godbey-mandolin, Mary Morgan-autoharp, Tom Morgan-guitar, and Leon Hodge-banjo. Others included are early country music performers, fiddler Curly Fox and singere / banjo player Wade Mainer with his wife Julia Mainer.
