Bible leaf, France, circa 1230
Codex: two quires of sermon outlines, possibly 1200s - 1300s
Partial codex on vellum. Possibly Italian. Possibly 13th century (or 14th century?). Noted on the envelope: "Sermons, perhaps related to dedication of the Church of St. Michael." (Writing may be that of Dr. Christensen.) Texts and dates to be confirmed through future study.
Collection of twelfth through eighteenth century manuscripts
This study collection comprises seventeen written works that were created between 1121 and 1792. These items were collected by Hutchins Library for use as educational resources in the Special Collections and Archives department. They were described as a unit in 2024 to enhance discovery and use. One codex and seven book leaves have been digitized. Researchers may view these images by accessing the individual records and activiating the recto (front) and verso (back) links.
