Pensions, 1916
Records regarding pensions including: correspondence between the Treasurer of Berea College, the Department of the Interior, A.P. Settle, and Milo B. Stevens with William H. Robe, and/or Mary R. Galloway. Also contained are articles addressing the pension bill presented February 15, 1916, and then the new pension law approved September 8, 1916, as well as other corresponding information.

Church affairs
Records regarding church affairs including three marriage certificates solemnized by Robe, one written account, and one letter. The written account references to a conflict between Robe and the then-current pastor of Berea Baptist for which the church had some sort of trial. The letter references church problems and denominational disputes and is dated 1897.
Miscellaneous materials, bulk: 1904-1943
Materials including a page with two stanzas from the work, “Beautiful Ohio.” Also included is the last will and testament of one George Hendricks, to which Robe is one of the two witnesses. This document is dated August 1, 1904. Finally, there is a “Commencement Exercises” bulletin for the class graduating from Mullens High School in 1943. Mrs. W.F. Staats was the Senior Sponsor.
Financials, 1902-1903
Fiancial papers including including an array of William H. Robe’s personal checks. There is a consecutive collection as well as a small collection of miscellaneous returned checks. Included with the consecutive collection, are the check stubs, still attached within the original checkbook. The checks range from December 13, 1902 until September 10, 1903. All checks written by Robe between those dates are accounted for and present.
Personal paperwork
Personal paperwork including a letter to Ms. William F. Staats (formerly Ms. Robe) in regard to Easter visiting written in late September of 1945, hotel information, and another letter. The final letter included in this series describes the provenance of much of this collection and was written by Lilly Faye Staats Lanham, a descendent of Robe.
