Scope and Contents From the Collection: The photographs in this collection relate primarily to radio music performers of bluegrass or traditional Appalachian music and stations in the region that featured them. Many of the performers documented in the Berea College Appalachian Sound Archives are subjects of the photographs in this collection. Most of the photographs are publicity photos; some are autographed. Notable subjects include: Roy Acuff, the Briar Hoppers, Lester Flatt, Red Foley, Doc Hopkins, Homer...
