Scope and Contents From the Series: This series contains correspondence with the Settlement Institutions of Appalachia. Most of the correspondence is from the presidents of different settlement schools, as well as the presidents of SIA. The majority of correspondence is written to or by Erwin C. Goering, Robert Rowland, and Loren Kramer. Erwin Goering was president of SIA. Most of Goering’s correspondence is dated 1974-1976.
