Biographical Note
This collection was gifted in 1996 by Charles Perrill MD, who wrote that a photographer in northern India took the slides during the 1950s for use in mission interpretation lectures. Perrill, born in India, was a missionary surgeon associated with the Methodist Church and superintendent of the Bareilly Clara Swain Hospital in India. His wife, Dr. Wilma Perrill, served with him as a medical missionary. The slides capture locations such as Bombay, Bangalore, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Jaipur, Agra, Fatehpur Sikri, and Benares.
