The collection is held within four scrapbook volumes [two bound, two unbound] containing correspondence with friends, official administration, b\w photographic prints, programs for mostly music and glee club events, announcements and ephemera documenting and / or evidencing campus life 1932-1938.

Biographical / Historical
Genevieve Kathryn Stumbo Frazier lived in Prestonsburg, Floyd County, KY, attending Berea College 1932-1936. Chalmer H Frazier lived in Martin, Floyd County, KY, and graduated from the College 1934. Both were heavily involved in the music programs, held Student Labor positions with the Library [1934-1935] but didn’t connect till later when teaching in Floyd County.
Kathryn taught music at Prestonsburg High School and formed multiple glee clubs and choruses. Chalmer taught and was Basketball coach for several Floyd County high schools. Later becoming principal and superintendent of Prestonsburg Independent Schools. In the late 1950s, he become administrator of Prestonsburg General Hospital and participated in the building on Highlands Regional Medical Center, in addition to serving a term as President of Kentucky Hospital Administrators.
Both lead the formation of the East Kentucky Concert Series, responsible for bringing classical music programming to Pikeville College. They worked with Gov. Bert Combs and his administration to form the Jenny Wiley Drama Association as the state built an amphitheater at the local park, hosting regular summer theater training programs.
