Biographical / Historical
Official student government associations at Berea College have existed under various names since the early 1900's. Since the October 4, 1993, constitutional amendment passed by the Student Government Senate, the government assocation has been called the Student Government Association of Berea College and referred to as the Student Government Association (SGA). Earlier names of the student government association at Berea College include: Student Council, Student Government, Upper Division Senate, Student Board of Governors, Student Association, and the Association of Berea College Students.
