Scope and Contents

Forty-four audio field recordings (1990’s) of interviews and performances that document the repertoire and playing styles of several Kentucky fiddlers, mainly from the state’s south central region. Also Included are video recordings of the Swallowfield Church of Christ (Owen County) Bicentennial Celebration.

The recordings in this collection are arranged by cassette tape recordings, open reel recordings, VHS tape recordings, and listening/reference recordings on CD.  Listening and viewing/reference copies are available for a select number of the original recordings.
