Scope and Contents

A collection of student handbooks for Berea College students. In general, handbooks provide a reference for students, faculty members and administrative staff regarding policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and services in non-academic areas of campus life. Handbooks reflect official policies adopted by the General Faculty, Student Association, various committees and officials of the College and describe practices and procedures developed by College departments to carry out programs and to serve students.

Historical

Berea College handbooks were first organized and published by student government organizations. Handbooks would later become published in a joint effort by student government organizations and a variety of College offices. Eventually the handbook would be published entirely by College divisions. Since 2009, the student handbook and has been combined with the Berea College Catalog and made available electronically.
