Scope and Contents

From the Series:

Materials consist of correspondence, family documents and notes, obituary clippings, and miscellaneous papers relating to Frost's private affairs and his family, 1854-1939.

Included in the series are letters (1893-1901) written by Frost to his wife, Eleanor Marsh Frost. These relate details of Frost's fundraising trips to Ohio, New York, and Massachusetts, and in Kentucky, and reflect the personal relationship of the Frosts. Other correspondence includes letters (1890-1898) to Frost's mother, Maria Goodell Frost; his sons (1918), other relatives, and to friends. Typed extracts from Frost correspondence for years 1892-1918 are also present.

Family papers and documents include fragmentary correspondence; genealogical notes and a family tree; miscellaneous licenses and diplomas issued to Frost; a fragment of one of his son's diary (1898); family financial records and legal documents; biographical clippings; and published material. The materials are arranged chronologically by correspondent or by subject.
