Homeplace Subject Files: Hale, Lula General Correspondence, 1931-1935
Scope and Contents
This series consists of miscellaneous subject files maintained by Lula Hale. Her subject order was significantly altered in the course of transfer and preliminary arrangement with the result that the present arrangement only partially represents her organizational scheme.
Materials consist of correspondence, financial records, reports, publications, photographs, and miscellaneous other records which generally document Hale’s administration. Subject areas particularly well documented include the Fund supported dental health program, formation of the Homeplace Rural Health Association, and construction of Homeplace Hospital.
These files may serve most usefully as an index to the larger series of correspondence files described in Series VII, Homeplace General Correspondence, since a good deal of correspondence relevant to these and other projects may be located by using the dates supplied here.
