Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

The collection is comprised of official records, reports, meeting minutes, printed materials, correspondence, photographs, newspaper clippings and other materials documenting the founding, administration, operation, and activities of the Pine Mountain Settlement School. The collection documents issues and concerns of the school founders during the school’s first years (1913-1920s) and during the administration of school director, Burton Rogers (1949-1972) while also documenting the school’s goals and mission into the 21st century.
