Scope and Contents
The third series, Research and Teaching files, opens with study materials collected by bell hooks. It closes with documentation of a few of her many domestic and international speaking engagements. Of special note, the series contains little about the college and university classes that Dr. hooks taught.

Most materials in this archival collection are available for use in the Special Collections and Archives reading room. Private correspondences with family members and close friends in Series 1 are restricted while the correspondents are living. Access to these letters for research purposes requires permission of the bell hooks estate.
