Biographical note
Axel Robert Ernberg (1900-1978) was born in Brooklyn, New York. With his parents, Hjalmar Ernberg and Anna Sjödin Ernberg, Axel came to Berea, Kentucky, where his mother superintended Berea College's Fireside Industries.
