Scope and Contents

"Portions of the Pentateuch from synagogue scrolls purchased in Jarusalem, March, 1902, by William E. Barton and presented to the Library of Berea College"--Handwritten note on scroll. Three polished, unmatched cow hide skins loosely hand stitched. Texts contained: Exodus 18:11-21 (includes 10 commandments) to Leviticus Ch. 1-9.
Catalogued as [Ancient manuscript Hebrew Torah scroll] Oversize Curio 220.44 S453a, this sacred scroll may have been created in the 1600s. Additional study is needed.
