Lynch, Kentucky photographs, 1918-1920, circa 1980s
Scope and Contents
1918-1920: Fifteen 8.5 x 6.5 inch black and white photographs (plus a partial photograph) of Lynch in the early 20th century, including landscape views, homes, the Coal Miners Hotel, the United Supply Company main store, and the interior of the bath house for African American employees. (Formerly Log 682. Moved into the Appalachian Vertical Files October 2023.)
Circa 1980s: Five 5 x 7 inch black and white Warren Brunner Studio photographs featuring images of African Americans, the Lynch Colored Public School, The Greater Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, the town, and a cemetery.
