Scope and Contents
The weightage of records held within this series pertain to the personal writings, journal entries and reflections of Janis Ian. Earlier journals / diaries are less organised often merging schoolwork or notes, journal entries, poetry and song drafts together. By the 1970s, a clearer structure has been imposed by Janis separating her song writings from the personal journals.
