Scope and Contents
The Song Catalogue series collates records evidencing the breadth of Janis Ian’s songwriting and musical output across her career. The series includes materials relating to both published and unpublished songs, such as drafts, manuscripts, lyric sheets, and supporting documentation. The records preserve Janis Ian’s creative process and artistic development, as well as original and dupicated music score compositions.
