This series consists of digital audio files of interviews, a related radio program, and CD user copies documenting the experience of Lewis County, West Virginia residents forced to leave their homes by the construction of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Stonewall Jackson Flood Control Dam.

Michael Kline recorded these thirty-five interviews with residents, planners, politicians and lawmen which he drew upon to create an audio documentary, "We're Here To Take You Out," which explored the impact and collateral, human costs of such projects on rural life, arts, and values.

These recordings were made as part of Michael Kline’s work as Folk Arts Coordinator at the Augusta Heritage Center of Davis and Elkins College in Elkins, West Virginia. The original recordings are part of the Augusta Archive where they are also accessible.
