Currence Hammonds Audio Recordings
Scope and Contents
This series consists of digital audio files of interview and performances that document the singing of Randolph County, West Virginia singers Currence and Minnie Hammonds and other members of the Hammons / Hammonds family. Michael Kline made these recordings in the 1980s as part of his work as Folk Arts Coordinator at the Augusta Heritage Center of Davis and Elkins College in Elkins, West Virginia. The Original recordings are part of the Augusta Archive where they are also accessible.
