Abstract

Elisabeth Sinclair Peck joined the Berea College faculty in 1912 and taught history until her retirement in 1953.  Upon her retirement, she was appointed college historian by President Weatherford.  She served in this role until her death in 1968.  A prolific writer, Peck published numerous books on a range of topics—many involving the history and work of Berea College.

Scope and Contents From the Collection:

The collection contains the papers and correspondence of John G. Fee and Fee family members.  The collection also contains numerous John G. Fee sermons and addresses. Included in the collection are records regarding the genealogy of the Fee family, family member biographical information, family photographs, legal and financial papers, and historical notes by Berea College Historian, Elisabeth S. Peck.
