Abstract
William Ross Gordon began teaching at Berea in 1931 as a teacher in the Foundation-Junior High School. In 1932 he was promoted to the college department where he spent the next 36 years teaching philosophy and religion. Born in 1900 in South Carolina, Ross served in the United States Army from 1918 until 1922.
